Car Park: The Mundy Play Centre, Markeaton Park. Pay and display £2.60 for 2 hours, £3.60 for 4 hours. NB There are height barriers; if bringing a minibus or camper van, please contact the organiser asap.
Getting There: The Mundy Play Centre Car Park is to be found off Markeaton Lane which is, in turn, off Kedleston Road. Go through the car park to the South end and follow the track to the Craft Village Car Park.

Assembly: The Community Room in the Craft Village. Follow signs through the small gate in the corner of the car park.

You may enter any course, but will only score in the Urban League on the correct course for your age class (or longer). Juniors under 16 on the day of competition may only run courses 6 or 7. Adult novices are advised to run course 6. Families should run course 7 (entirely in the park) or course 6.
Road Crossing: Course 7 does not cross any roads, Course 6 does not cross any roads with significant traffic, but does run alongside busy roads. Other course cross roads but the dual carriageway A38 is only crossed by footbridges – do not attempt to cross on the level.

Adults: £8 (members of British Orienteering); £10 (non-members), Students: £4.00, Juniors: £4.00, Family: £20.00 (members of British Orienteering); £22.00 (non-members)
Family groups and adult novices £4 on courses 6 & 7.
Please include your British Orienteering membership number on your registration form.
Timing: The event will use Sportident electronic punching. Both SI contactless and contact punching is possible. Sportident cards can hired at Registration. Contact SI cards are £1 for Adults, free for Juniors & Students to hire. Contactless SI cards are also available to hire at £2 each, on a first-come first-served basis.
Registration on the day only: 10:00 until 10:45.
Start Times: Mass Start at 11:00 for courses 1-5 and 11:05 for courses 6 & 7. The Start and Finish are within 100m of Assembly
Courses close at 12:30 and controls will start to be collected after this time. Please report to Download even if you retire. You must still report to the finish and download even if you miss the cut-off time to avoid a search being instigated.
Toilets: There are toilets in the Craft village.

Dogs: Dogs are not allowed on courses, they are permitted in car park/assembly but must be on a lead and any mess removed.
Café: The Orangery Café (close by Assembly) will be open from 9.15 until 3pm.
SAFETY: Care should be taken around the lakes and crossing roads. Both the urban and parkland have areas that become slippery after rain or in cold weather. Please choose your footwear with this in mind.
Dogs / other park users – Markeaton Park is well used by the general public, take care and please be courteous.
Competitors are responsible for their own personal safety and for assessing their own ability to complete the course. However, possible risks have been identified and addressed through the Risk Assessment, planning of the courses and the information we provide to competitors.
First Aid: A First Aid Kit will be available at the Finish and Download.

Photographs: You are welcome to take photographs or record video at this event, but please respect people’s privacy and avoid photography close to first-aid and toilet facilities, or in areas where runners are changing. Photographs may be posted on the internet. If there are particular reasons why an individual should not be photographed, please discuss the issue with the organiser in advance of the event. Report any concerns about inappropriate photography to the event organiser.
